About the Role

* Overseeing the different functional groups of the company, including R&D, Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), PMC, Procurement, Manufacturing Execution, and Quality Management.
* Overseeing the future Operations function. This group is expected to be divided into 3 areas: NPI, Manufacturing Systems, and Order-to-Delivery.
* Overseeing the planning, implementation, and directing of all manufacturing activities; focusing on safety, quality, on-time-delivery, and process control.
* Collaborating to align company's Operations team throughout the short-term and long-term change management process; including motivating operations staff through encouragement and enforcement.
* Collaborating to design the future organizational structure, critical initiatives, and all other related components from the perspective of integrated Operations.



About the Person

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or another related field.
* 10+ years of Operations/Manufacturing experience, and 7+ years of Operations/Manufacturing management experience.
* 2+ years of experience in a Chinese-foreign JV, MNC, or foreign owned company.
* Come from an automotive manufacturing background or be able to demonstrate a relatable background to it.
* Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, Value Stream Mapping, and the Toyota Production System (TPS).
* Should have experience supporting at least 1 corporate transformation; this includes both from the perspective of the management team and pushing the change as well as a member of the company and needing to adapt to new requirements.
* Familiarity with SAP and other manufacturing-oriented application systems.
* Familiarity with internal Employee Engagement Programs.
* Fluent in Chinese and English is a must.
