A global creative agency is looking for a Creative Director.


This is a key senior creative position. Our Creative Directors are integral to the integrated work through managing multiple creative disciplines and collaboration with the wider Imagination group to assist in the development and execution of the regional aspects of global programs for core clients, whilst seeking out and supporting in the development of new business opportunities. Motivating and inspiring our team and leading the highest level of creative excellence are key.

Detailed responsibilities:

* Provide strategic and creative vision to drive and grow the business
* Devise visionary and innovative creative work that supports Imagination・s core global offer of experiential marketing
* Use creative and strategic thinking, creative brainstorming, industry knowledge and design awareness to ensure the most appropriate creative response to a client brief, approaching opportunities from a commercial, creative and multi-disciplinary perspective
* Be a creative force. Be insatiably curious about art, design, technology, social trends, science, politics & business
* Share your passion for new discoveries & encourage others to share theirs
* Build a network of contacts; prospect to generate opportunities; lead big pitches, make clear how we can deliver impact
* Integrate all creative disciplines across the company. Unlock Imagination, nurture company culture
* Ensure the team works together effectively, progresses collectively and enjoys the work
* Ensure quality is maintained throughout and that the work is appropriate for the market
* Build client relationships; gain respect as an advisor; manage issues as they arise. Be aware of contractual obligations. Give clients reason to turn to Imagination for value-driving insight & innovation
* Deliver recommendations that have impact across all disciplines; evolve projects into broader programs that support clients to transform their business
* Present to most-senior clients; support the team presenting and instigate meaningful dialogue
* Teach what you know to others & create a learning environment that acknowledges strengths within the team; help mitigate any weaknesses or skill gaps
* Ensure that we have the right mix of skills for the requirements of the market and that we are leveraging them to full effect
* Speak at conferences, write in the press; shape and lead our marketing approach; present us as a leader in the event, exhibit, design and digital communities

Experience and skills required:

* Significant experience of working across global brands / accounts
* Broad experience in crafting successful integrated solutions focused on experiential, being able to bring brands to life on digital platforms and through film/moving image
* Design or communication qualification at degree level
* An ability to sketch, visualize and communicate is essential
* 5+ years Creative Director experience with 10+ years practical experience and a portfolio of built, completed examples of work
* Experience in presenting to and working with clients to achieve the best solutions for their brands. Used to presenting at Board level.
* Exceptional organizational skills.
* Provide leadership whilst equally being an approachable team player
* Must be creative, insightful, rigorous, collaborative and fun
* Needs to be ingenious and to be able to find good solutions with limited resources facilities readily available
* Needs to be sensitive to, and quickly able to understand and work with, local sensitivities and customs that are relevant to clients and staff
* Knowledge of relevant software packages
* Fluent in Mandarin and English would be ideal
