Digital content strategy

* * Works with country, regional and global digital team to establish and evolve appropriate and effective digital strategies; facilitates and guides implementation of these strategies including digital communications plans for our English, exams and programmes work.
* * Takes editorial responsibility and is accountable for quality and accessibility standards for country level content on all digital platforms and local/regional partners' platforms.
* * Advises on potential use of appropriate digital tools in consultation with Digital technical leads such as development of new websites, white labels or microsites for various teams.
* * Shares synergies and best practice with communications teams across the East Asia. Communicates well with central Digital team and contributes to overall success of British Council's digital presence.
* * Make sure all newly developed websites are penetration tested and adhere to global digital compliance policies.
* * Manage roll-outs for global content.

Content production and management

* * Provides leadership to colleagues involved in digital, facilitating communication, sharing best practice, provides consultation and guidance. Supports the training and projects roll-outs within China.
* * Work to establish and enhance content sharing workflows and habits, and amplify best local content for use across British Council platforms, ensure appropriate content lifecycle management, monitor search engine optimisation practices, contribute to gathering of and response to metrics and provide guidance as to best practice on our platforms, including social networking platforms, in conjunction with global digital team leads.
