The Company



Our client is a Fortune 500 Company serving customers in the industrial markets.



The Role:



* The Go-To-Market Business Director will be responsible for go to market strategy, transformations, metrics and providing leadership for Asia Pacific's sales excellence.
* The leader will guide the go to market strategy, channel management, and commercial policy transformation and deployment in the territory, using global standards and tools. The leader is a key influencer on the leadership team in AP, and will collaborate directly with functional and commercial peers in the region and in global.
* This key leader position role will also lead the implementation and maturity of all aspects of the sales function, using global standards and tools, implementing specific programs and processes with the objective of increasing effectiveness of the Sales function including assessment and training, sales coverage, organisation, and effectiveness models, CRM (Salesforce.com), and pipeline & forecast management etc..

Responsibilities:



* Work as a member of the Global Channel Development Centre of Excellence, contributing to and leading various global projects to build strategy, process, metrics, and standard work. Brings learning tools and best practices from other territories and outside of the company to AP for breakthrough innovation and thinking
* Lead the AP territory channel strategy creation for each country and end-market. Channels include both company-owned / direct, and independent distributors and dealers for all brands and offerings
* Lead the transformation plan establishment and execution for each country and channel Tracks and manages the overall channel strategy and work, balancing complex needs, constraints, and business case strength
* Track KPIs related to channel performance and lead the territory's action planning
* Lead the territory's channel management processes, standard work deployment and coaching, and tracking
* Coach peers and territory leadership on strategic and tactical channel management concepts. Owns cultural change where needed to enable
* Participate in monthly M&A and greenfield/brownfield pipeline and project reviews with corporate and SBU leadership as applicable. Support and, where needed, project manage branch start-ups (greenfield and brownfield) and integrations and track project KPIs
* Develop supporting process, policies, and documentation for all in-scope elements, and ensure deployment and compliance
* Lead collaboration through selling experts within sales channels, the Sales Excellence global team and other key stakeholders; leading the development and implementation of best practices for opportunity, account and call management activities of the sales teams; and influencing the enablement of direct selling processes through technology and tool development, including the Sales Force Automation (CRM) system in AP region and provide continues improvement once implemented.
* Plan and deploy the training on sales excellence program, SBU stakeholders and coaches and Sales Excellence learning partners to ensure effective implementation, improvement and sustainability of selling processes and activities.



Qualifications:



* Broad business knowledge and experience and understanding of industrial channels and go-to-market models
* Strategic thinking mindset. Ability to manage complex details with the overall objectives clearly in mind at all times. Experience interacting with senior leadership.
* Strong overall business acumen, solid financial grounding. Excellent judgment and analytical ability to make recommendations/decisions.
* A track record of identifying opportunities, developing recommendations to achieve, and delivering results.
* Ability to perform simultaneous internal and external-facing roles on the same project and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
* Disciplined program management skills
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal
* Bachelor of Engineering, Accounting or Finance or Business required
* Masters of Accounting, Finance or an MBA preferred
* A minimum of 15 years of relevant industry experience
